Furqaan Institute of Quranic Healing is the gift from the Muslim people to the world at large.We believe that the Quran and the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad (saw) has a lot of healing.There are many problems that have medical symptoms but in fact are spiritual problems. We have been curing and helping people for over ten years.

Also, FIQH is a non-profit venture.We are not here to make money, therefore you will find our prices to be very affordable.We want to introduce mankind into the world of the unseen and introduce them to the benefits that Islam brings.

Our Staff: Sheikh Omar Baloch
Resident Scholar - Furqaan Institute of Quranic Healing

Sheikh Omar Baloch in his capacity as the Scholar in Residence for Al-Furqaan Foundation is responsible for all activities and material relating to communicating the Message of the Qur’an to Muslims and non-Muslims. His expertise on the Message of the Qur’an makes him a well-respected speaker at lectures and events across the country. His knowledge of world religions allows him to engage in dialogue across many faiths and is often a speaker at many dawah events. His aggressive Khutba schedule takes him around the US, where he not only focuses on reviving the spirit of Dawah through the Qur’an, but also raises funds for the purpose of delivering a copy of the translation of the Qur’an to everyone in America. His fluency in Arabic, English and Urdu makes his khutbas, lectures and speeches unique and well attended.

Born and raised in Chicago, Sheikh Omar is a graduate of Jamia thul Azhar (Al-Azhar University) in Egypt. He graduated in 1994 with an emphasis on the Arabic Language and Minhaj ad Dawah. Prior to that he studied in Pakistan at Jamia Thul Ahlul Hadith. He is a student of Dr. Israr Ahmad and Abdur Razaq sahib. He has attended study circles with Shaikh Muhammad Jibreel (the Famous Egyptian Qari) and Sheikh Kishk (May Allah Have Mercy on him). Apart from his religious education, his secular education has taken him to Georgetown University to pursue his graduate studies on the Psychology of religion. Prior to joining Al-Furqaan Foundation he has held many positions in the IT industry as a network professional. He has served as an Imam at Hagerstown, MD and has also taught at Al-Huda Islamic School. He is extremely good at engaging the youth and is a frequent lecturer and speaker at many campus events. He writes extensively on variety of Islamic topics and is the author of many articles on our dawah website – Bookofsigns.org and also his own site Quranicwisdom.org Omar is a resident in Tinley Park, a suburb of Chicago, where he lives with his wife and daughter.

Br.Mohammed Chowdhury
Clinical Counselor

Br.Mohammed Chowdhury earned a Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling (with specialization in Psychiatric Rehabilitation) from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. He is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and holds licensure to practice in Illinois. He worked as Intake Counselor at HAS (Healthcare Alternative Systems) and as Community Support Specialist at Thresholds Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center. Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, he is currently a resident of Chicago. Br.Chowdhury is married and has been blessed with a daughter. He lives with his family.

Sr. Essraa Abdel-Ghany
Social Worker

Having studied under Shaikh Ahmed Deedat (rahimahullah) with the help of Yusef Deedat (son of Shaikh Deedat) and Essam Mudeer (Shaikh Deedat’s Son-in-law), Sr. Essraa is an expert on comparative religion particularly as it pertains to the Bible and Christianity. She is an eloquent speaker and has spoken at many settings including Churches, Universities, Public Schools, Correctional Facilities and other Community Centers, particularly in the New York state area. She is an avid collector of Bibles and her personal collection of 60 different English translations of the Bible includes such rare translation as the 1952 revised standard Edition. Most recently she is launching a 6-8 semester course with the Furqaan Institute of Qur’anic Education (FIQE.org) to create Da’ees (Dawah workers) trained in the art of jidal (debate).

Born and raised in New York, Sr. Essraa holds a Masters in Social Work and a B.A. in Sociology. As a trained social worker she has worked with a diverse group of people through such agencies as the American Red Cross, Cayuga Medical Center and Department of Social Services. She has developed a strong understanding of working with the Youth, which makes her a valuable resource to both affect and attract our Muslim Youth to the field of Dawah.

Essraa, having been raised in New York is now a resident of Chicago, where she lives with her husband.
